March 24-27, 2025 4 days/3 nights $450 shared rooms, meals included.
Oversized Hoodie: Transform thrifted, beloved or secondhand textiles into a one-of -a-kind hoodie!! You can repurpose materials like quilts, blankets, curtains or a combination to create a unique piece of wearable art.
Bring your own textiles from home or be ready for a field to a local thrift shop as Karen shares what she looks for when treasure hunting and how to imagine all the possibilities for upcycling a hoodie and more. An oversized hoodie pattern in sizes S-2XL will be provided!
Basic knowledge of a sewing machine use is required for this project, perfect for beginners, yet enjoyable for all levels with the opportunities for customizing and embellishing. Join us to learn sustainable sewing tips and leave with a one-of-a-kind hoodie!
Embellished Sweatshirt: Also at this retreat, we will make an embellished quilt themed sweatshirt. You bring a thrifted plain sweatshirt- no pockets, no graphics please. Karen will bring the rest! We will be adding a vintage Dresden plate or other quilt block and designs to choose from! A quick and easy project with so many options that when you go home, you will want to make many more!
Arrive Monday after 2 pm. Introductions and Inspirations by Karen. She will share he "why" when it comes to using preloved textiles. She will also give tips on proper posture and set up of your sewing stations and some stretches- all which can help you sew longer, more comfortably and injury free!
Tuesday morning - make embellished Pre-loved sweatshirt, Afternoon - Thrifting Field trip
Wednesday- Sew your Upcycled Hoodie!
Thursday- Sew and Share! check out 2pm.
Liz’s Barn Quilt Retreat
April 3-6, 2025 4 days/3 nights $450 shared room, meals included
Have you ever wanted to paint a Barn Quilt? Now you can and still have your quilt retreat!
Arrive Thursday after 2 pm. Set up, Introductions and Open sew. Dinner provided. Friday class starts at 9 am. We will be making 2x2 painted barn quilts. You may purchase a larger size (3x3+ $60) (4x4 +$140). Boards and paint supplies included. Please bring a hairdryer and tape. Saturday is an Open Sew day. Please bring any project you would like to start, continue or complete. We always encourage you to bring show and tell. We love to see your projects. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner served on Friday and Saturday. Sunday breakfast is provided. Check out before 2 pm.

This weekend you will feel like a winner! Whether you start a new project, or finish an existing one, or both, this retreat will be filled with inspiration and memories. We will send links to theme patterns for the weekend or if you are wanting to make a Quilted jacket (we will attach suggested links.) at this retreat, we can assist you. June 19-22nd, 2025 $400
In this workshop Darren will cover some quilting basics, talk about tools and materials, and create a quilt top start to finish. If you would like to get into quilting or have been out of quilting for a long time, this class will provide enough information and skill building to get you confident and on your way.
Sew Kind of Wonderful Double Ring Retreat

Join Jen Wagner, an expert quilt pattern designer, as she guides you step-by-step through mastering curves in quilt making. You'll learn techniques for cutting and stitching both large and small curves, achieving phenomenal results. During the retreat you'll work on the Bouncing by pattern releasing in 2025 and the customer all-time favorite Mini moons. You may leave even leave with a completed quilt top!

Friends retreat in the vineyard! Relax and enjoy this time with good friends, fabric and fun. sitting by the river or watching the sunset over the vineyard, the options are endless.

Tennessee Quilt Retreats is located at the Nolichucky Vineyard. The Nolichucky Vineyard is a producing vineyard providing grapes for wine and soda. One entire side of the 15 acres property is the Nolichucky River and another is Bent creek. There is a river deck bar serving Wine, beer and seltzers for relaxing. We boast an iconic 2 story gazebo, and a 4000 square ft open air pavilion. The area is beautiful to walk anytime of the day.
It is typical for meals to be provided for retreats. We do try to post menu items in prepared foods whenever possible. Menus are subject to change. We are unable to accommodate individual food preferences. Please plan to bring your required medicine, allergy free food, guilty pleasures or anything else that will make your stay even more pleasurable. Refrigerators are available.
We have design walls, cutting stations, rulers, ironing boards, etc. Please try to come with your own supplies, projects precut, tools, rulers, etc. whenever possible. We do not want your time here spent waiting on the next step. Basic stitch Sewing machines are available for rent for $50 for those who fly in.
The closest airports are Knoxville(TYS) and Tri Cities(TRI)
